Dinner will be back at the
Meridian Golf Club on Friday 22 October 2010.
Price will be £20, same as last year. There will be an ECB Level 1a (advanced) course starting at Cambs FA HQ on Sunday 14 & 21 March 2010. This course is designed for the more serious Umpires and is the preparation for umpiring Tucker 1 cricket. The cost will be £30 and you must be an ECB ACO member. Book a place through Jenny Lowe on 01223 232371. The CCB are offering "First Steps" taster sessions. These are 2-3 hour evenings aimed at offering the rudiments of the important Laws of Cricket - LBW, Wide, No-Ball, Stumped and so on followed by a question and answer segment. They are aimed at club coaches, youth team managers, parents, players who "do their ten overs", club scorers and anyone who is interested. The sessions are free and the tutors will come to your club and run the session if you can get at least ten people interested. If clubs wish to join forces and hold larger meetings, up to 40 people can be accommodated as long as you have the room. They will come any time that is mutually convenient throughout the winter and spring, but Friday nights are recommended. Again, book through Jenny on 01223 232371.
